Quotables for Bluesky ("we", "our", or "us") is a Chrome extension that allows users to quickly share quotes from webpages to the Bluesky platform. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy.

We are minimalists by design. Quotables only interacts with the text you explicitly highlight for curation. This text is processed locally to send it to Bluesky.

To facilitate the Bluesky integration, we store your Bluesky authentication token. This token is stored strictly in your browser's local storage and is never transmitted to our own servers. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Quotables for Bluesky operates locally in your browser. The extension only interacts with the content you highlight and the Bluesky API for posting quotes.

Quotables for Bluesky values user privacy and uses the minimum permissions for the functionality it provides. It does not collect user data or track user activities. It complies with all policies of the Chrome Web Store upon which it is published.

Data serves one purpose: your experience. We use collected information to:

• check_circle Enable seamless posting of your curated quotes directly to your Bluesky profile.
• check_circle Maintain the core functionality of the extension across your browser sessions.

Quotables stores your Bluesky app password exclusively in your browser's local storage using Chrome's built-in storage APIs. Your credentials are never transmitted anywhere other than Bluesky — all authentication happens directly between your browser and the Bluesky API.

Because we prioritize local storage, the security of your data is fundamentally tied to the security of your Chrome profile. We recommend keeping your browser and Chrome extensions up to date, and using a strong password for your Google account to ensure the highest level of protection.

You can revoke the extension's access at any time by signing out of the extension or by revoking the app password directly within your Bluesky account settings.
